Our Story: A Legacy of Cybersecurity and Innovation

Internetivo’s story began in 1997, rooted in a mission to protect businesses and individuals from digital threats. It all started when the father of our founder became a victim of fraud at a local bank in Cyprus. This experience ignited a passion for cybersecurity and technology, leading to a journey that has shaped Internetivo into what it is today — a trusted platform and project marketplace for businesses, startups, and professionals.

Timeline

• 1997 – CEO's father became a victim of online fraud.
• 1999 – The founder began programming.
• 2003 – Entered the world of web design.
• 2006 – Developed bots (Eggdrops & psyBNCs) for IRC networks on UnderNet, providing these services via e-XRU.net.
• 2007 – Expanded into web hosting and shell hosting, launching Gold-Networks.com.
• 2008 – Introduced Shoutcast radio hosting services.
• 2010 – Founded Internetivo, initially focusing on web hosting and web design.
• 2017 – Expanded into SEO, e-shops, custom web development, server security, anti-DDoS hosting, penetration testing, and startup services.
• Added digital forensics, including deleted file recovery, disk imaging, hash analysis, steganalysis, email investigations, virus removal, and cybersecurity planning.
• 2018 – Started drafting plans to transform Internetivo into a platform.
• 2019 – Began offering maritime cybersecurity solutions.
• 2024 – Soft-launched our project management tool, exclusively for Internetivo customers, to test and refine its features.
• 2025 – Expanding our platform and marketplace to help businesses, freelancers, and professionals manage and grow their projects with ease.

ISO/IEC 27001 Certified ISMS

Hetzner Online GmbH and Hetzner Finland Oy hold the ISO/IEC 27001 certificate, an internationally recognized benchmark for information security. Their Information Security Management System (ISMS) covers all hosting services and data center operations in Nuremberg, Falkenstein, and Helsinki, ensuring continuous improvement through regular audits by FOX Certification.


Data Protection & Technical Measures

All physical and technical controls around personal data processing—such as redundant uninterruptible power systems (UPS), backup generators, advanced network infrastructure, and fire detection—are audited by third-party specialists like TÜV Rheinland. Customers with a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) can even access audit reports via their accounts .


SOC 2 & International Standards

Although Hetzner emphasizes ISO 27001 due to its global applicability, they also keep an eye on other standards such as SOC 2 for the U.S. market.
